Al-Amanah Multipurpose Cooperative Society (SHESTCO-Abuja) is a Shari'ah-compliant, non-interest cooperative formed by staff of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO) and the Nigerian Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC). We exist to give members an ethical, halal alternative to conventional interest-based (riba) savings and lending.
Rather than earning income from interest on loans, the Society operates on non-interest, profit-and-loss-sharing principles — drawing income from real trade, leasing and partnership activities. Members save together, access interest-free facilities, and share in the surplus generated from the Society's halal business ventures.
To be a leading model of trustworthy, Shari'ah-compliant cooperative finance in Nigeria — empowering members to achieve financial independence and prosperity through halal means.
To mobilize savings and provide interest-free financial support and halal investment opportunities to members, using ethical, Shari'ah-compliant business models.
